Since 1992, Pilgrim Congregational Church through the Pilgrim Fund has granted more than $400,000 to organizations and agencies in the Northland.
The mission of the Pilgrim Fund is to enhance the commitment of Pilgrim Church to the priorities of the congregation. The fund is the responsibility of the Board of Trustees. Each year, the Trustees determine a distribution amount from this investment (no less than 5% and no more than 10% of the fund), the Pilgrim Fund Distribution Committee is notified of the amount to be distributed, and the committee in turn advises the congregation of its grant guidelines and deadlines. Each grant request must be sponsored by a member of Pilgrim. All funded projects must be sponsored in writing by at least one member of board/committee of Pilgrim Church. Following the receipt of applications and review by the appropriate committee or board, the Pilgrim Fund Distribution Committee carefully considers each application and makes recommendations to the Church Council for approval.
