The public has the opportunity to attend a meeting on road work scheduled to take place near the Chester Park, Endion and Congdon Park neighborhoods in Duluth.
The meeting will discuss a pavement rehabilitation project that’s in the works for 24th Avenue East and 26th Avenue East, which is scheduled to take place this summer.
The City of Duluth will be hosting the meeting on Thursday, May 30th at 6 p.m. at the Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ.
Those who attend will be able to view the proposed drawings and maps of the construction and where detours will be put in place.
Details such as mail delivery and trash pickup will be discussed at the meeting, along with impacts to DTA and school bus routes.
The project will consist of updating the pedestrian ramps in order to meet ADA standards, along with most of the intersections having partial or completely new pavement.
Due to the project, there will be limited or no access through the intersections on the cross streets.
