Bring Cheer to Aftenro Residents
Snow Sculpture Party
All Pilgrims are invited to participate in a socially distant snow sculpture party at Aftenro Home, 510 West College Street on Sunday, February 28 from 1:00-3:00 pm. Families and Pilgrims will choose a spot to create their masterpiece out of snow. The purpose is to bring joy to the residents of Aftenro and have fun.
Youth Book Club
The youth group book club meets Mondays at 7:00 pm and Thursdays at 2:00 pm. All are welcome. Contact Grace Beaster at gbeaster07@gmail.com for more information.
Valentine Project
The youth will be creating original art Valentines. Some of the Valentines will be used for Pilgrim and others will be delivered to Aftenro Home and others to North Shore Estates. The Valentines are due to Cindy Grindy by February 5. Call (218) 349‑9611 or email Cindy for more information.
Helpers for Church Services
Pastor Judith asked for help with reading and for children's time. If you are willing to help out in this way, please tell Pastor Judith.
Park Clean-up
Last fall there was a large homeless encampment on the point of rocks just west of downtown Duluth. A huge mess was left behind. A clean up day was scheduled for early December and it snowed before the effort could be completed. A new date will be set in April or May.
Rock Snakes
The youth shared their enthusiasm for a snake of inspirational rocks to go around Pilgrim. It was decided to do this in April/May so folks could bring their own rocks. Plans include setting up a station of craft supplies with paint and sealant inside Pilgrim where families could come and use the supplies. Stay tuned!
Watching Construction
From Congdon Creek Preschool
The workers enjoyed having the kids cheer them on even more than the kids enjoyed the experience!
