Pilgrim Book Club

The Pilgrim Women’s Book Club will meet Monday, August 8, at 4:00 pm via Zoom. For August we will be reading Little French Bistro by Nina George. This is the story of a woman who decides that she has spent enough of her life being unhappy, that it’s never too late to change her life, and so she does!

Because this a Book Club in a Bag selection, we have multiple copies available. Just stop in the church office, sign out a book, then join the discussion on August 8.

Join us on Zoom.

Housing Search, from Becca Lindquist

AmeriCorp VISTA Volunteer Seeks Housing!

Our neice, Kyra Kjeldahl, age 22, is seeking afordable housing for 1 year, beginning on August 15 (or sooner). A recent graduate of Luther College, she has a BA in Global Health & has chosen to spend her 1st year out of college volunteering in the AmeriCorp VISTA program, in the Duluth area, volunteering in the St. Louis County Health Dept., in their Opioid Sustance Abuse Program. This program pays very little, so she is hoping to find housing in the $500/mo range, as she will be living off her savings (with minimal help from her parents). If you know of anyone looking for a roommate, housemate or perhaps a house-sitter, please contact Becca Lindquist at (218) 391-5111. Thank you in advance for you consideration & help!

Damiano Soup Kitchen

Pilgrim members, the next opportunity for volunteering at the Damiano Soup Kitchen is Monday, July 25, from 8:30 to 1:00. Two or three volunteers are needed. Please contact the church office if you are willing to help at office@pilgrimduluth.org or (218) 724-8503.

Show Us Your Walks

From Ted and Triss Harwood, their granddaughter near Lulumau Falls in Hawaii

We're lucky to live in a community with so much beauty and access to nature. Send Patrick your photos to share your walks with us in future emails!

What Patrick's Listening To

A lively performance of Bach's sixth Brandenburg Concerto from Orchestra Mozart. You don't hear this one too often—two violas and two viols!
